| Position Summary:
Assists in definition, design, and implementation of networked systems. Implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve the performance and reliability of enterprise networks system under the guidance of the MIS Manager. Assists in network system planning, installation, monitoring, testing, and servicing (including cable installation). Trains other employees on system. May serve as network administrator when required by incumbents absence or unavailability.
Essential Functions:
*Executes technical decisions-making in a NT based local area network.
*Applies technical knowledge and management experience to achieve desired departmental results.
*uses administrative or technical skills to solve a variety of highly technical problems as they arise.
*Responsible for individual work and related projects within assigned parameters.
*Operates within established methods, procedures, local policies, and guidelines.
*Requires limited supervision.
*Capable of significant degree of self-teaching.
Education:
BA/BS preferred
Training and/or Experience:
*One (1) to Two (2) years related training/experience
Computer Skills:
*Network and operating systems knowledge
