| Job Function:
Assists the Director of Clinic Operations in the daily oversight of all clinical operations, thus ensuring that all clinical staff complies with all licensing and regulatory standards.
Follows CIHC approved operating policies and procedures as, well as all regulatory and licensing standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees daily clinical operations assuring that patients receive timely, quality care.
Collaborates with Director of Clinic Operations in preparation and posting of monthly staffing plans and advises on changes needed to staff the clinics in the event of sick calls, personal emergencies, etc
Serves as a backup to the Dialysis Charge Nurse.
Serves as the Quality Improvement Coordinator.
Provides Patient Education in Diabetes and completes all the required documentation for the tribal diabetes program.
Coordinated and Plans the Tribal Health Fair Annually, working with the Community program.
Completes the dialysis documentation for regional and state requirements.
Develops working knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements and communicates requirements to providers and staff.
Collaborates with Director of Clinic Operations and Medical Director in the development and maintenance of Clinical Policies and Procedures.
Assists staff with daily coordination of services within their respective areas.
Maintains current CPR certification.
Collaborate with all coworkers in performing duties required to provide patient focused service that meet all regulatory and licensing standards.
Maintains high confidentiality standards at all times. Is required to sign a confidentiality statement upon acceptance of employment.
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
RN required, BSN a plus.
Minimum two years experience clinical setting.
Prior charge nurse or management experience helpful.
Licensing Requirements:
Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of California.
Must be able to function as a dialysis nurse within time frame that is acceptable to Director of Clinical Operations.
